Mexico’s National Chamber of the Iron and Steel Industry (CANACERO) is an independent institution founded in September 1949 to help iron and steel companies to be better prepared to meet the needs of national and international markets and the specific demands of the Mexican society in terms of developing ethical and responsible trade practices, contributing to Mexico’s industrial and socioeconomic growth. Today, CANACERO brings together steel producers, transformers, and distributors established in Mexico. Our Congress seeks to strengthen ties within the production chain and debate issues that impact the sector, and in this way create a competitiveness agenda where all voices are heard. The Congress targets:

▪Steel producers, transformers, and distributors.
▪The construction industry and public works builders.
▪Steel users of all kinds.
▪Legislators, government officials, and academics.

The main objective of the Congress is to continue to act as the acknowledged voice of Mexico’s Iron and Steel Industry and to establish an agenda promoting competitiveness involving all stakeholders in the production chain.
